another irishman? nice cars man they are clean as
Blue levin I have owned since 1991 (showing my age) and Trueno for 2 years - it was imported by Paul (sexy16) as a special order. Wanted one worked but loved the idea of one being v-original too. The levin is getting a heart transplant with vf24 ball bearing turbo, HKS 256 cams, argo rods and arias pistons - should be fun! Existing custom steampipe manifold by John and for coating recommend John and James

stroked 2L ca18-ae86 in the build...eta xmas 2012?
No - not Irish - unfortunately even I have difficulty understanding Paull after he has had a couple of beverages!
Nice toys mate, and glad to see someone using a VF, brilliant little turbo's
it made 242hp / 180kw at the wheels on 18psi with the tiny wrx td04 turbo but it definitely runs out of puff so looking forward to the big increase in midrange punch the vf24 is supposed to provide (if their use on a wrx is anything to go by!) Having the small p18 rear housing should stop it being laggy plus I have orientated the front housing so the inlet plumbing to the intercooler will be a fair bit shorter so I am hoping not to add any noticeable lag at all

Sounds like you have it on the money, good work dude, the 24 should push you just over the 200kw mark with the same boost, and they usually allow about 22psi before they run out of efficiency. Will be a great car to drive with a good whack of torque early on.
pretty much what I was after - by the way - My wife drives a Liberty B4 and was reading your write up on the ej20 set up- had thought of those possibilities myself....
I dont think the wife would appreciate you pulling apart the lib though haha. I hope you wouldn't cut up those fine cars though, mine was straight but a straight heap of shit.
you are right there - she loves her liberty and loves my hachis too but the thought of a bullet roadster style front end and an awd ej20 powered ae86 did cross my mind as something I would do with a donor car and enough spare room in a garage
Would love to see some one put a wrx front and rear panels on an 86, but the awd would be a huuuge task, no real way around it with out having to graft the suby rails into the 86, but nothing is impossible. I say give it a go, just wait till i finish mine haha. Have you seen the WRX/civic hybrid from the states?
