So i just picked up my 2nd KE70 and there were heaps of good suprises!!! a tacho dash for starters and then you pop the boot and it comes with heaps of spare parts, grill, steering boots, carby and manifold, alternator, starter motor, complete set of water pipes, new belts, brand new heavy duty battery, workshop manual, sheap skin covers, rear sun louve and floor mats (yeh thats right ke70 floor mats! but they have holes ) but the best spare part is.....................A BRAND NEW SPIRIT WING! genuine! never used still in the standard grey plastice primer!!!
But there is a down side it - the carpet needs to be replaced and theres rust in both wheel arches, how much rust there is im not 100% sure but i'll be having a look on the weekend...

UPDATE:
so i go stuck into the rear guards today just to see how much rust there was... there was abit so it looks like i havea few choices....
A. Bog sand spray
B. cut roll sand spray
C. Get front slanted guards, cut out the flare, cut out the rust of the rear, sand back, weld on, bog, spray
ah wells pics to come!

UPDATE:
Well Firstly i've gotten all the stuff from work to clean up the guards, resin with fiberglass through it, sand paper, 2 cans white gloss paint. so thats that sorted.
Second item is a helpful one - i got a lightened flywheel and clutch from one of the great members on here for $90, considering get one lightened costs around $80 - $100 its a good investment.
Thirdly i got a 4K head - Recoed, 3 Valve Grind, Port Polish all the way through & Decked 20 thou, this is going to be great once i get it on with a twin carb setup and exhaust system.
And last but not least i got another pair of mesh rims 14's with decent enough tread they just need a clean and a spray and will come out nice.
Well thats it for now...

UPDATE:
Just scored myself some double valve springs for the head now im trying to find an aftermarket cam for it
can't wait hopefully i'll beable to get stuck into it more this weekend (might take the head off) but most likely just do the guards

UPDATE:
so i got all the bits needed for the guards, i've just sanded them down more and sprayed on the rust converter. im just waiting for that to dry and in the mean time i've begun to take off the black paint from all the rims waht a mess!
also now im trying to get another 4k camshaft so i can go get it reground its only going to cost 100 from crow cams to do to any spec so now i just have to decide what.
im also considering spraying the bonnet black or buying another slanty one and keeping the white one in the shed... we'll see what happens
pics to come soon!
