Cheers for the replies.
With the SC14 I have the 1ggte version. This placed the pulley approximately 12.5mm (from memory) too far back to be inline with the pulleys when using the sc12 std lower bracket. My solution was to grind the existing bracket and use a thick metal washer on the front end of the bracket. It seems to distribute the load alright without putting the bracket under any noticeable compression stress. The top bracket is custom made using some 20x3 mm and 20x6mm steel as well as extruded tube. I will get some pictures soonish which will make a bit more sense i hope.
In the meantime here is what it looks like now, engine bay and boot sprayed, and car disassembled waiting full prime and then top coat.
Can't wait to see this car up and running again!
Cheers, plohl
Fuck yea!
So clean! When you putting it back together?

Cheers guys
The pictures really don't do it justice, I am stoked with how it came out.
Probably will be a little while before its back together. The wheels look shameful next to the pretty paint so i have to get those restored.
Im in two minds as to what i should do with it, one is to put it together as it was and just enjoy it and collect the bits i need for the w2a etc, the other is to do it all properly from the start.
My plan is to have it look similar to the following setup:
Although i would like to have some aircon stuff so my climate control doesnt blow hot air on me at all times...
