Sound deadening is out in the rear half, now to clean and prime.
Will get some pictures up later, an air chisel made light work of it all!

much rust under the sound deadening? i want to do the same with my t18 but am a bit scared that the sound deadening is hiding a fair bit of rust!

Thanks! No rust at all under the sound deadening just a tiny bit behind one tail light when I tool them out, but it was just starting so i cleaned it up treated it and painted it again.
Anyway here are some pictures, stripping the sound deadening, then primed then done!

Then rerouted the wiring and boot cable so they are out of site now. And just made up a rear door trim template out of sheet, well its ok just need to find a neater way to cut the sheet metal.

So... Put a deposit on a toyota celsior/ lexus ls400 today, should be picking it up next weekend or the next and conversion will start!
If anyone wants some parts or knows someone who needs anything other than engine, loom and ecu let me know.

FWIW these things are almost heavy enough stock - as in within a handful of kilograms- to be legal for a 1UZ under NCOP, an understanding engineer may well pass it.
