s13/180sx brakes on AE86

hey guy, quick questions... has anyone done or know if its possible to fit s13/180sx brakes on a sprinter

ps. for rear end

Aparently its quite common in Japan...
Have no idea if thats true or not...

I'm in the process of doing this to my KE...
It depends on how you want to do the caliper braket. Wheather you bolt it to the stock location or weld it to the housing.

If you wanna make it bolt on the useing s13 disc would be easiest.
But if you wanna weld the caliper bracket then use R31 disc as it has more bake spacing.

From my quike look at mine it apears that the caliper can only go in location because of the hand brake cable and its large bracket. At the front with the cable and bracket just under the spring perch.

I also noticed that s13 and factory AE86 rear disc brakes look uncanilly alike.

do-able dude .. i was looking into it before ... get your self a disc rear end to make things easier and then it would be all customs mounts ...if you are running bigger brakes up front i would say that a upgraded master cylinder like a non abs r32 one will be required .

If your going to do the work might as well get r33 gts t rear brakes.. come with internal drum.. Then no need for hydro setup to e brake

any how to dos on them going around.. i picked up a set of front and rear 180sx type x brakes for cheap and might be doing conversion soon

does anyone know if s15 knuckles will fit on s13 lca and if it gives more lock any what not

just use full s15 lca set up will increas lock ceffy owners and the sort do that

pretty sute s14/15 LCAs are longer, thats why they get extra lock
wouldnt work in out cars because they would give even more camber unadjustable than s13 would.

you can buy a kit on yahoo that has the adaptor plates to run s13 rear discs and calipers. its a full bolt on package.....very cheap and easy
