Can this be orientated for both ADM and JDM bellhousings as the clutch for is on opposite sides? Very keen on this kit. Job well done!
yeah mate also very interested
the dyno pull to 300rwkw
BT20v is making 300rwkw like i said i would without nitrous so now its time for some spray and see if she will run a 10s or less

That was the motivation for doing this in the first place. Doesnt matter which bellhousing you use. The only thing that pokes out are the Hydraulic lines and you dont need the slave cylinder hanging off the side either.
It is brilliant. Gimme gimme gimme!
have you driven the car with the set up installed?
the profile of the release bearing where it contacts the pressure plate looks a bit different? you think that will cause any problems?
78's
I have only used mine on track cars at the moment without any issues, but have used a similar setup on a clubman on road without any problems. These units are used behind a lot of engines in england, mainly kit cars. I used to have one set up on a GTiR with no problems. The profile and shape of the bearing is pretty similar to all release bearings really.
The main advantage is a slightly more compact design and it negates the cost of the JDM bellhousing. There is no performance advantage.
Are the adapters available? I'm definately down for one
I've had a few machined
I made 2 of these, one for a mate and calculated the thickness these needed to be.
I'm curious as to how you determined what thickness your adaptor was?
FYI, i used the std SAAB cylinder and the bearing that came with it.
(threw away the dust cover with spring - what a PITA)
I measured the standard release bearing position, both fully engaged and disengaged, then tried to place the hydraulic bearing position as close as possible. Then it was a matter of trial and error to get the thickness spot on.
You are right about the dust cover with spring, but if you get everything spot on, it works well on. If you dont use the dust seal, you are risking scoring the telescopic bores over a period of time.
And yes, as you can probably tell, this is the saab unit also.
