Great idea!
thought Team M were made in hong kong?
Hey folks, if you haven't heard there is a company that may be willing to make a tall 5th gear for the t50 trans. This would allow you to have a 4.77 rear end and still have under 4000 rpm while cruising at 115km/h or so.
This was ready to go into production but some trouble with the earthquake in Japan has made TeamMfactory a little bit uncertain about going through with the production.
Here is the original thread:
Please, if you think you would buy this gear at a price of $350 USD PLEASE send Patrick an email expressing your interest.

I think that if he gets enough interest from all over the globe he will be less worried about being stuck with 10 gears. 10 gears is all that is needed to be sold for this to be a success.
Thanks,
Grant
PS, I apologize if this isn't the best location but I wasn't sure where else to put it.

both myself and delazy expressed interest at the time, but as such he was short on numbers at the time.
havent heard anything since....
FYI this longer 5th gear is really only useful if you using a 4.7 final gear as it would bring the RPM BELOW 4000rpm @ 110km/h, instead of 5000+rpms.
how would it go with 4.5's?
Calculator gives me 3,500 rpm at 112kph.
I can't stress enough that this might not go through if Patrick doesn't think people will buy 10 or more gears. Please email him if interested.
Moved to group buys forum.
LOL! 4.77's sit on barely 4000 @ 110.
whats the original 5th gear ratio?
and what is a real figure for revs you would sit on with this gear?
Correct me if im wrong but i think revolver make one of these already.
Jump on there site and check it out
Stock 5th is 0.86.
Speed in gear 1-5 stock 5th @ 8000rpm - (top speed w 0.773) - RPM @100klm/hr 0.86 5th - (Rpm @100klm/hr 0.773 5th)
4.33:1
57-100-146-203-236 - (262) - 3380 - (3050)
4.556:1
54-95-139-193-224 - (249) - 3580 - (3200)
4.77:1
51-91-133-184-214 - (238) - 3750 - (3370)
5.4:1
45-80-118-163-189 - (210) - 4250 - (3800)
Looks like a good idea for any street driven rig with 4.5 or better.
pretty sure they have one but dont give much info on it
