ActewAGL is seeking applicants for electrical fitter and electrical lineworker apprentice positions. These positions will allow you to gain qualifications to construct, maintain and carry out emergency repairs on ActewAGL’s electricity distribution network.
We are looking for people who have:
• the ability to work in an industrial environment servicing Canberra’s electricity consumers
• well developed communication skills
• the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• the ability to use computerised systems
• a commitment to customer service
• a commitment to gaining the prescribed job competencies
• a current class C drivers licence.
Along with submitting an application to ActewAGL, applicants are required to sit a one-hour pre-selection assessment conducted by the Electrotechnology Energy Advisory Board. Applicants must call 6262 7011 during office hours to arrange a booking no later than 27 October 2011. Places must be booked at least one day prior to assessment dates and a $30 administration fee applies.
