Black part of gear stick removal

MOTOR - nothing at them moment
QUESTION - ok so when i bought my gearbox some c$#t had hacked off the thread on the gear stick

so my question is can you remove the part of the gear stick that the knob screws onto? the black end part in the photo, and if so how?

bonded rubber to the bottom half, short answer is no. You can cut and reweld without too much issues though

Buy a new shifter or get a grub screw mounting shift knob.

Just whack a drilled out golf ball on the end of the shifter with some sikkaflex

i ahve one at work, if i can get another one, for nothing(like this one) you can have it when you come over for coils

ahh dam was hoping i could just swap it with my ke70 one, was going to swap the whole unit but the throw is really long and weird with the ke70 stick, @ lolwut ok sweet i might grab it off you if i cant find an alternative.
