Default (NSW) RT142 Avante - Save It!

Hi Guys - Advertising this for a friend - We had plans to save it but due to Space & Time constraints it won't be happening for a while! Please read below for more info!

So the story goes like this.
My grandpa handed down his MINT rt142 corona avante to me in 2005. It was my first car, i didnt really think much of it so i bought a jza80 6 months later and sold the corona to my cousin.

Since then its sat in her front yard. It was white, its now a greenish white

Recently a mate and i enquired about it as we were going to restore it.
But things have come up so sadly as much as id love to have my grandpas car back 5+yrs later especially since this time realising what a gem it actually is! due to my circumstances it wont be happening

Unfortunately since i asked my cousin about it she's decided either way she wants it gone. Wether i buy it or it gets scrapped she doesn't care
I really don't want to see it get scrapped so im offering it to anyone who wants to match what the wrecking yard is willing to pay for it. Which is $200.

Its a 2.4 litre auto avante. Cant remember the exact kms but its not much more than 200000kms
air con, central locking, remote entry alarm and its got log books from noble Toyota
I went to see it recently, it needs a damn good wash but the good news is we couldn't see any rust. Body is still straight as.

In my brief ownership the head gasket was replaced along with a new timing chain and guides.
My grandpa has always been pedantic with his cars and there was no exception for his corona. It was mint in his ownership and he made sure i looked after it whilst i owned it .

I really don't want to see it get wrecked!

    located north west Sydney

    Cheers

    Default Parts?

I've been building up my corona for about a year, just about have my P plates (finally), I was wondering if you'd be keen just to offload some parts from the car? They're just finishing touches - Interior dome light cover, for example I'm also looking about for an aircon kit, as in the whole lot. Just grabbed my pal's old skyline rims with 80s whitewalls, so it's nearly complete!

    Default Ahh :(

Any rego on it? Because it'd cost too much for me to get it transported down to Wagga, I'd say.

Sure you aren't keen on just popping off that light cover?

If not, I might be keen on grabbing it, I'd have to drive it down though, so long as the aircon is in good nick.

As it says in the description it's been sitting for a few years, and thus it would probably need the air con to be re-gassed ?

The best option would be to put it on a car trailer... and drive it down

And as Luke said.. definitely not parting it out!

    Default Hmm, sounding good

Could you gimme a rough price on getting it transported here rather than me driving up and whacking it on my own trailer? I don't really have the time with the car that could pull it to do it.
