2: the fact that hip hop culture was created by black people years back and is still dominated by them in the rap/hip hop industry
3: all songs chosen by the guys on stage that night happened to choose original artists by African Americans... except this one kid doing the whole slim shady deal
2. Completely fucking wrong.
Hip Hop has always been driven by the graffiti movement so arguably it was started by a white/wog guy, Taki 183. If you're one of those ignorant folk that think hip hop is just another name for rap music and therefore only think the music counts, there were just as many disadvantaged Caucasian, Latino and to a lesser extent Asians living in the lower socio-economic regions that birthed hip hop.
Go and watch Style Wars. It was mostly white kids.
