I've been running Race Brake's RB74 pads, with JDM caliper and some old vented rotors on the front of my 86.
    JDM disc brake read end.

I'm really happy with the RB74 pads, my car is a daily driver, and they stop from cold, they have a really good bite, and has eliminated my brake fade problems on down hill runs. (Haven't used them on a track yet). They are consistant every time you brake, my pedal isn't getting close to the floor, and is alot firmer, hardly any effort to lock the tyres up (I use to have to really stomp hard to lock them up with my old pads).

I rate them very highly for $180 per axle

RB74 pads, are these worth buying if I'm only cursing around town (not drifiting or speeding)? If not, what would you recommend?

Have a look in the motorsport chat, theres a topic called Brake Discussion, goes through some pads as well as other things in there.

I should probably add to this, I no longer highly rate the RB74 pads, they work great at first, but fairly quickly get worse and worse, to the point where I had a shocking fade after 2-3 hard stops through the hills.

After one track day, they were destroyed.

I'll have a look thanks. I really should utilize that search button a bit more.
I'm gonna go for some all rounder breaks... also, that's good info to know that the RB74's aren't as good as you thought.

looking through your post history you have made nearly 10 posts regarding RB74 all of a negative nature, each to their own opinion sure, but seriously? i have also used them, with semi slicks at mallala and found them very consistent

i had adm stock rotors and it was over 5 laps before fade

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div>Ive knocked them that many times because people keep asking questions about them, so I give them my opinion. If somebody makes a decision on a product based on 1 person's opinion then goodluck to them! I simply dont like the pad, and I've stated my reasons, I realise you sell the product, and it doesn't help if people knock one of your products consistently, but you do offer alternatives to the RB74 that are better. But it all comes down to application and what your going to use them for.
