helps if i tell you the engine silver top 20v, hey my user name tells half the story
currently my rev limit is 7500rpm whereas i thought it was supposed to be 8200 rpm, whats goin on? i am using standard management all standard parts. someone once mentioned it would go to this lower limit if the speed sensor wasn't connected (which it isn't in my case) if this is the cause how can i get around it?
revs count in a 20v
any help greatly appreciated.

I too would like to know this.... and what is rev limit for a JDM 16v 4ag?
just try it in your car and let us know
dammit i have completly forgotten i think its 7800rpm for jdm 16v
I hav done it many a time... and i know its very wrong on my 4ag. Redlines at 6k.
I'd say its in desperate need on a tune.
So i wanted to know what its really suppose to be.
My girlfriends 4ag in her AE82 redlines at 7200... which is higher then mine
you need a 4 pulse per revolution output from your speedo assembly in your dash connected to the violet/white wire on the 12 pin plug of your ecu to get the 8200 rev-cut.
If you can't find the output at your dash cluster (it's a pulsed ground) then you can also use a piggyback transducer which goes between the speedo drive on your box and the speedo cable (same as what some people use to make an RSM work in their AE86).
One other thing some of the clubman guys do is use a 555 timer IC to make a pulsed ground output circuit and hook the ecu up to that.
Basically the ECU needs an input to know the car is moving for it to allow the use of the whole rev-range.
Omg.. sounds a little complicated for me.
Do u hav any diagrams or sumthing visual to help me (maybe others) to understand?
Cheers.
i think it has to do with the type of factory compuer you run, mine is at 8200rpm
