Fantastic, all i can say is you are one lucky guy to have that car in your possession, yes i am green, say not interested in a swap are you....lol I mean mine is built for the track as well.
Very keen on some more pics of the front suspension set up, looks very interesting, also the rear sway bar set up.
Keep us posted on the car, would be great to see is in the Classic Adelaide and some other Tarmac events, even the Clipsal, they have Touring cars of the past running in display before the races.
Cheers
Jon
Ho Jon,
Some more pics on the site
Yes I was at Clipsal last year and saw the GpA & GpC demo drive, Unfortunately they won't be there this year.
I don't think you can run in classic Adelaide with a unregistered car.

I have a spare car with plates, the chassis number is not recorded on the reg, that would give you reg, yes it is as easy as that down here in wonder land
nice work with the restoration/modification.
Just a couple of questions, what coilovers did you use for the rear, and did you fabricate a new strut tower to fit an off the shelf spring, or did you make a spring top to fit?
Funky,
The rear coil assembly came with the car, Its a normal bilstein shock with hiem joints top & bottom A fitting has been made that adapts the hiem joint to the AE86 style top mount. The top spring mount fits over the shock shaft.
I will take some pics and post them.

thats is awesome
Thanks mate I think you just solved a small part of my rear suspension problem. I might be bugging you in the near future for more specific details.
I had some concerns with doing a similar setup in my car, and the strength of the mounts. In particular the lower mount of the shock. Now that the spring isn't there to distribute the stress, do you think the standard lower mount is up to it? or have you strengthened it?
More pics of rear suspension are very welcome
