you need a rattle gun
My car's making clunking noises and I think it's because of the strut top nut.
I'm running t3 cambertop and upper hat with no spacer also.
Anyways, how do you guys tighten the strut top nut? (the nut at the very top) I can't tighten it any tighter because if I try it will just move along with the shock. Does this mean I tightened it enough already?
I'm not really inclined on using a rattle gun because it can damage the shock
Any help guys?
Any tools for this job?
you need a rattle gun
the shock shaft is very strong material and the nut will strip first
How does the spring transfer the force to the bearing without a spacer ? any pics
There is a coilover thread about as well atm
maybe ur wheel bearing are gone?

You could bend a thin copper sheet around the shock shaft and lightly clamp it with some multygrips then tighten the nut, I know yuck but it does work as long as you are carefull

If you don't use the spacer on the bottom of the sharft, then the noise is the shock sharft moving up/down on the bumps. Try jacking the front up while you hold the shock sharft nut to see if it moves as the wheel rise off the ground. With out the spacer, the nut will be tight on the sharft but not on the camber tops.
woah i forgot about this and havent' gotten around tightening it yet
who here runs a spacer b/w their camberplate and their top spring hat?
