Just finishing off an old school Jap "shop hack" to go with my other model cars, 1980 Hilux. XR4s and drift pipe, heaps of decals.
Just need to fit interior and chrome film window surrounds and its sorted.

    Time Attack Mira

    Finally lowered this one

Also put a little bit of camber on the fronts so it looks a bit cool
Involved alot of braking of bits and glueing back on lol
Keep in mind tho this is the first model ive ever built

Im still gona put some paint scrapes and stuff on it so it lookes like a beater drift car.
I just bought a kouki levin coupe model too which i plan to learn some new things with, hopefully try not to make the same mistakes again.

might get some putty stuff too and build some cool bits for it, gona make a hardcore cage in it

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (gaki86 @ Dec 4 2007, 11:43 PM) </div>Yes, however...
They are only half the width of the rims on the hilux, and staggered. Thats two sets of fronts on the kei car (its tiny), they're only like 7mm wide. On my TE71 I'm using two sets of the A3A rears as the fronts are too narrow for that sort of size car (i.e. anything KE70/AE86 size or bigger). The tyres are different too, and to be honest I felt a bit ripped off. The other Kai parts rims, like the formula mesh, sakura, mkIs, MkIIs, MKIIIs, XR4s, techno phantoms, starsharks, custom rim, bilbo, shadow spoke, enkei focus, and soon watanabe 8 spoke, are way better.

I think the narrow ones translate from Japanese as Kai Parts Flat Rim. I got some Impul dish rims which were the same, tall and narrow and crap, orange box. So I wouldn't buy the impul dish, volk mesh, a3a etc. You can see on the box art the different tyres, stay away they're crap.

    That looks sick Grant!

I started roughing up the paint last night, made some primer panels and some crunched bumper bits etc, might come up cool... or just looked like an abortion of an 86 lol
