yea so I was installing the H4 HID kit into my 86 but then I found the manuel says there is a wire called polarity adjsuter which you'll need it connected between the bulb and the ballast if your car has a positive(+) current and you don't need it connected if your car has a negative(-) current. Are our cars positive or negative current, should I connect it?

polarity is just active/active, neutral/neutral. Generally speaking with low voltage most things arent polarity conscious. I dont really know what you mean when you say a car can be on positive or negative current...

i was under the impression you had to change the reflectors...ie remove reflectors from another hid equipped car and remould them to yours to achieve the right spread of light. Half the difference between normal & hid is the wattage & spectrum while the other half is the reflectors themselves (correct me if im wrong).....anyway im getting off topic

got any diagrams or links to provide a bit more info

hid requires AC current does it not? our cars run on DC, i was under the assumption hid lighting required a specially inverter?

Im also curious on this, my lights are shit. From pics ive seen the lighting difference is amazing, but im not sure if the light spread will work the same as a normal bulb style, i guess we'll find out when you get it done!

its not worth doing, just get some standard replacement bulbs (white if you want) that way you won't lose your night vision.. all these idiots flying around with hid bulbs like artificial suns.. they wont be able to adjust to a car with dimmer lights easily.. its bad for u

Wezelton, if ur lights appear dim, u gotta up ur carrot intake

um yeah, tried it two days ago with the adjuster connected and it works , haven't got the car outside at nigth yet coz it still need some work to be able to run, tried the HID in my car park and not as much difference as i expected. But will see when the car is on the road so that I can feel the difference.
