4age's are also tough, i was doing 5 mins of doughnuts 8000rpm with a big end knock after a 10min drive and didnt let go. Crank wasnt to damaged either
3 years of drift and 10,000rpm + no valve bounce leaks water now, but if my 4age is as tough as this ill be happy

Im trying to see how many kms I can get out of mine. Doesnt show any signs of dying at 315,000kms.
But yeh.. 4ac is still a fun engine.. lack of power, but fun and reliable. If it weren;t I would have got 4age by now
the 1st sprinter I bought had a 4ac... it copped a a few neighbourhood thrashings........... it never blew though......
ahhhhh so its valve bouncing... I found out that when the oil lights on it needs oil and its not a warning for it getting on the low side it has had it on for liek the past few weeks

Didn't kill the 4ac, killed the gear box after a night of summernats.
im thinking turbo.. dose seem like there is much weaknesses in the old 4ac, appart for oil leaks, piston rings (lack of after high KMs) and valve bouncing
