Alternator replacement

Hey guys,

I'm putting a fwd 100kw 4age into a sprinter. But I didn't get the correct alternator nor the mounts for it. What alternatives can i use? Or does anyone know where i can look for them?

i would also like to know what alternaives you can use, ive herd you csn just pull out the guts of one and put it in the 4age ones, to make a higher rating one?

I would also like to now wot bracket to use on a rwd 4agze cos mine currently sits on the swaybar

Mine is off a daihatsu and uses custom brackets.
the altenator itself is identical to a sprinter one, but is not as long, which is why i am using it, so i can clear my extractors. (discovered this after i made my brackets)
The only other difference is that the pully is suited to a 4 rib belt not a 5 rib one, but this isn't really a problem.
I have heard that you can adapt brakets of a 4afe or something to move it over to the exhaust side.

I am using a standard 100KW FWD bracket , cost like $10 from Pick and pay less, and i had a 3sgte alternator lying around from a front cut, it bolts straight in and is higher rated.

I had a T18 altenator on my 4AC. And according to the thread about what bits are interchangable hilux and hiace altenators are the same and have higher voltage.
