    Howdy yo.

Im gonna be doing the write up on craigs Mish-mash of two KE70's and an AE71 which he call his 'daily driver' cause craig is a lazy mo-fo.
Anyway, the story. This is craigs old AE71.

it looks shit now, but once upon a time (last week, in fact) it looked shmick and was sliding til it's heart was content. but nooooooo....

DEFECT! And you can see why.... 6.5cm too low at the back. 2.5 at the front.

As the AE71 had some pretty extreme rust in the rear quarters, it would have never made it through regency. So the hunt was on for a new shell. An ex-loan car KE70, complete with blown 4K (not the good type of blown, the blown as in 'has 15 pounds of compression in cylinders 2 and 3 sort of blown) and 3speed auto and AE71 front quarters, lights and grille was picked up for a very tidy sum indeed.

The car is in the final stages of a running gear transplant. the motor is going back in tommorrow, after changing over the pedal box, installing the clutch master and stuff. But anyway. some Parts lists.

    Car: Toyota Ke70 Corolla
    Engine: 4A-C
Gearbox: T-50 with oversize shifter bush (notchmeister, yo!)
Diff: T-series rear end with LSD (Locked Standard Diff. It's SA, weldys are standard)

    Engine Mods:
2L Cortina Twin barrel carby, with matching adaptor plate
Straight through exhaust system (waiting to be fitted on the new car)
    Redline Air Filter
    ....Erm, shiny air filter cover?

    Suspension Work:
    AJPS 8Kg Coilovers (Front)
AJPS 4kg Rear Springs (Rear), 6kg's hopefully soon
    Short-stroke Shocks (rear)
All bushes replaced with nolathane items
Half the bloody whiteline catalogue! (swaybars, tie rods etc)
    Rose-jointed adjustable Lower Control arms
    Power steering arms
    Traction Brackets
Probably more that i can't remember

    Brakes:
    JDM Slotted and Vented Front
    T Series drums
Lucas 800 (?) degree pads on the front, fuck knows what kind of drum liners.
Castrol super response DOT 4 brake fluid. pedal is hard as, fade is non existant.

    Interior:
Nivola RT wheel, replaces a ridiculous OMP 300mm wheel.
    AE71 Tacho Dash
All blue, custom black dash (spray can) and baby poo brown roof trim.
Pioneer head unit with 2 6x9's in the rear shelf

    Body:
Early model KE70 Front end conversion
    JAFS Flared front guards
rub strips in the process of being removed
Tints on the doors windows only
    AJPS stickers here and there.
    AE71 Spirit wing
    TE72 Tailights
    re-drilled 16"x7"s

And that's about it. so here's some pics.

    The New Shell

    FEEL THE POWER

Mandotory free plug for AJPS. SUPER COROLLA TUNING FTW!

The 4a-c powerhouse will be in the engine bay tommorrow.

AJPS Coilovers with 8kg springs, yo.

    TE-72 Tailight conversion

All the junk from the KE70. At this stage, we've actually FILLED the old shell with the crap we don't need from the transplant...

    FUTURE PLANS:
Not much really. Silvertop 20V is the current thought. After all, it's only his daily driver.... yeah, we've all heard that before...

    Peace out ya'll.
    Javal.
