Getting about 10-11l/100km as a real rough guide, driving it pretty firm.

Getting about 10-11l/100km as a real rough guide, driving it pretty firm.
well i get like 250-300kms out of a tank with a bit of thrashign here and there
i was getting 7 -8 with the granny 4ac auto
maybe check the carby?
30kw club
-check trans oil level. And that it changes into high gear.
-take air filter off, check auto choke opens when warm
-check air filter is ok, not restricting
-check for fuel leaks
-check front wheels turn free, brakes not sticking.
i think auto might not be changing into high gear as it is reving fairly high when cruising at 80.
-check trans oil level, with engine running.
-check kickdown cable adjustment. Loosen it if you think it is holding a lower gear.
I think i was getting 300+ round town "brisk" driving, and I made canberra-albury one take, albury-melb 2nd tank. so 400ish I think. That was a bog stocko 4A-c with stock everything and running 15in cressida mags sitting on 120kph.
Now days I have no idea bout the ZE. only gets driven 50k at a time and is filled via jerry tins
Carby rebuild kits do wonders for 4ac's. I was getting 250km to a tank, installed the kit and i got 500-550km to a tank.
