JDM Ke70 Ground up restoration project !
Some of you may know, for about 2 years now, i have been building up, from the ground, a Ke70. Its to be a daily driver thats practical.. but at the rate im going, i dont think ill be using it that much, too much work has gone into it for it to get scratches and every day damage haha.
Ive decided to put this link here, so that you can all see whats happening to it; i wont be using this page as the thread as such, simply because the one ive started on rollaclub has so much data, pictures and comments; it would just become confusing if there was 2 threads. But ive had lots of suggestions to put a link on 86dc anyway. So here it is.. (some of the pics are from my web page Ke70.com, so do excuse if pics load from any and everywhere.)
Basic Run down of the project.
-ADM Ke70, Bare metal re-spray in acrylic-2pac tawine blue (Toyota Colour)
-JDM Ae86 4age, JDM T50, T18 Differential, 2-way Cusco LSD
-Genuine Jasma 4:1 - 2 1/2" exhaust with QLD transport approved CAT lol..
-14x6.5" gold dish wheels (name unknown)
-Re-Trimmed interior with Black and blood red velor, Swede and perforated leather with GT Twincam 16 inserts
-Hand made dashboard & Console, custom 1 off install including new gauges and LED Lexus effect (When car off, entire dash black) - Instrument cluster extended all the way across.. See the thread, it makes sence
-Toyota Crown / Cressida inspired luxuries - power windows, doors, boot, door, roof, pillar lights (that fade accordingly ). Front and rear air con, Boot / vanity lights. Electric fold away / hidden LCD screen with onbord computer to run Win XP for setup. Sat Nav included. Truckie Radio.
-ADM Ae71 Spirit Spoiler
-New JDM chrome bumpers with twin headlight front end. (Genuine, not mock up from Ta22 / Crown / Cressida / Falcon )
The old girl many years ago. Was originally a mum car, drive the kids to and from school. Not any more!!
Story in a nutshell - If its on the car, or going on the car, it gets attended to. Eg. Everything has / is being sanded / undercoated / painted / reupholstered / cleaned / replaced genuine first preference, non gen 2nd preference.. etc

Yup, i could go on about it all night considering every bolt on the car has been painted; its taking awhile. So far, its yearrrs in the making. I hope this car is finished and on the road, no more to do by earlyish__ 1st 1/4 of the year; being 2007.
Keep checking for updates, as i work on this car 1ce or twice a week; The weekend!

i went through your whole thread on rolla club. im in love, im in brisbane too, at capalaba, we should meet up some time ay. i have a slanty ke mate, check my thread. oh and verry nice work mate. ask your dad if he wants to fix up my rust, theres 4 half pea sized holes, that sit, gl mate
