there are various tips for removal of the gearbox, just do a search for it or try here:
I drop the rear mount and use a 1m extension myself
the clutch can be swapped
The clutch in my ae71 wagon is just abou dead. Im tossing up the idea of changing it myself to save a bit of money and to get the experience doing it.
Does anyone have any special hints or tips for doing it? i think the basic idea of take gearbox off, take of clutch assembly, and then put back together should be pretty straightforward, but i wouldnt know of little things to look for, any tips would be great.
Also, im getting a fwd bigport motor which still has a heavy duty clutch and lightened flywheel attached to it. Would these fit onto my 4ac? Because it would save me buying a different clutch kit then.
thanks

30kw club
The 4ac and 4ag flywheels are different.
4ac = 6 bolts
4ag = 8 bolts
oh okay thanks for that.
i didnt think of looking on rollaclub for some reason, they seem to have everything on there.
if the clutch can be swapped onto the stock 4ac flywheel then thats good, i just wasnt sure on the sizes seeing everything is different and theres no simple table which tells you the size in the different variants.
yay for 50 dollar bluetop with clutch still attached![]()
