THE BEST CHOICE!!! i've never had anything bake as hard as savas, made my 60kw sprinter look like it had 260rwkw. wish you could still buy these babies new
kuhmo ku36 fronts very good but are no re55 or re540
kuhmo ecsta spt rear very grippy on my road car but not enough on the track car but time will tell.. the only good thing was i used only 6 of them in a day

NEAR MISS
savas do smoke like crazy,
have them on the daily lol, but yes shitty steer tyres
how do savas go in the grip/wear department on the back
I have Advan Neova's for steer tyres. But keen for something slippery as fark for my 15x8rears. Can someone reccomend me something readily available that is super slippery in say a 185/50/15 or near?
well after the DSC comp just gone i can now say that i love RE001's in both the dry and the wet... they are simply awesome value for the money for a steer tyre.
i also ran Toyo proxes 4's on the back in both conditions and in the dry i found them way too grippy for my set up and power (190 rwkw and 6/4.5 kg springs) with 28 psi cold in them to start with... next prac session i upped them to 40 psi cold and they were awesome.. just the right amount of grip and slip.
didnt delam and they lasted a while too... was pretty happy with that over all.
Yeah your problem would have been 28psi to start with, waaay to low.
not really... after speaking with other guys who run them but in 17's and with lots more HP, they are the best at 30psi HOT temps and then kepty at that for the best grip and best long life. so starting at 28psi cold isnt low at all.
they are the sort of tyre that works best at a lower temp... just my car doesnt have the power to carry long slides with a real grippy set up.
also in the wet i was running them at 24psi and they gripped up REAL well... was able to do 4th gear scando's into the tyrewall and bring it back and nail it lap after lap... with higher press's it just wouldnt do it

Wet is obviously a different case altogether.
RE-001's in comparison to higher performance tyres are nothing special, so to get grip from them I guess some of those guys would run the low 30's. RE-01R's, Neovas, R1R's need to be much higher, 40+ cold.
