In my frustration of breaking coil mounts on the side of my engine I decided to do something drastic:





so I thought I would solve the vibration problem once and for all.... it didnt work...

A few weeks later after doing this it failed again from vibrations and in a way I once again wouldn't expect, I will post pictures of how I think I finally fixed the problem, well even though I have already said that 4 times already I think its ok now!

Is it possible to move it back to the firewall instead? There may not be room, or there could be heat issues with the extractors, but if you could get it to work, it could solve some vibration issues.

Yes that was one of my options but not the one I chose. I have already solved this problem and I will show the pictures shortly.

Also I have redone my engine wiring harness once again which I will show pics for.

Hey Sam.... been having some ideas about some new braces for 86's.... Can you get on msn tonight? Need to bounce some ideas.

Also, i was thinking about a more efficient dry sump setup the other day, in particular the oil scraper design... what do you think about incorporating a knife edged crank as well as the precisely set oil scrapers (aka Gallardo) to acheive a higher level of oil removal efficiency?

Justin: I will likely be on from 4:15 to 5:15 tonight (tuesday). Your idea comicly enough is someting I have thought of myself, however the machining cost was too high for me for the knife-eging. I am definetly still interested in the crank scraper idea still. Have you seen my forum thread on the subject?
