ok. my crank angle sensor is buggered on my 4agze (decided after fixing alot of other things). now iv been told that it has 3 pick ups. is this normal for the engine? would it be hard for me to find another like it? would i be better off getting a whole new distributer?

Yes, three pickups, one on the 24 tooth wheel. Two on the other wheel (one or two teeth on that one, I can't remember). Well that is at least how the smallport GZEs I've looked at have worked.

Apparently the GZE CAS is identical to the pickups in the basae of the GE dizzy. So if you can get a GE dizzy, ditch the rotor and cap and just use the pickups. Unconfirmed, but sounds very likely to me.

yeh gze have 3 pickups 1 24 tooth sensor and 2 pick ups for tdc and bdc measure risistance you can use other pick ups from diff dizzies if risistance is the same or close.
