4age 20v - When are heavy duty valve springs required?

Hey guys,
I'm in the process of a 20v build at the moment and it has come to the point of cam selection. I found a grind that looks the goods and should allow the vvt to still function well. I have an adjustable cam pulley for the exhaust side to optimise results. What I want to know is at what point would heavy duty/performance valve springs be required? The profile is around 270 degrees (advertised duration), with 382 (I think about9.5mm) lift. Would also be interested to know what other cam profile 20v owners have had success with. Cheers!

id get them dude yager performance at balina good shop to talk to i dont have there number but streeter by streeter have it there number is 55463033 its good to get them even if u use stock cams (if your getting your head reco'ed)

Any cam with more that 8mm lift - you'd want better valve springs IMO

Just tried calling them then - They must be closed on Saturdays....What do they charge for decent valve springs? Someone suggested I need to go either TODA or trd...Which to me = $$$

its just a heavy spring dude u dont need to get band name ones, just tell the guys at yager what u have they no there shit they'll sell u what u need, i think i paid 180 or 200 for a 20v set

up rated valve spring is use so that the cam can operate to the max

9.5mm of lift - i think its better for u to use the inner shim kit also

What exactlt do you mean by inner shim kit. Is there a shim under bucket kit for the 20v?
