Ahh yea, now it makes sense. So wasn't thinking on that side of the motor.

Haven't heard that about the rx7 injectors before. When I got mine cleaned and flow tested the guy ran them again in front of me to show me and they looked pretty good. What a good spray pattern to some might be different but looked good the way I saw it.

Did you calculate the capacity and the flow for each intake runner with the manifold by any chance?

I havent physically seen the RX7 injectors flowed before, its just what Ive heard
Im pretty simple minded bloke, didnt measure the runners just knocked it up, should work alright
but feel free to help me with the math to figure it out lol

No worries. Did you make the runners with a taper in them at all?
I wouldn't be worried about the manifold, as it looks good. Most people are making them this way now.

The only way to get everything spot on, or as good as it can get is to use SolidWorks or the like and design the manifold and then use CFD I think the program is to then test the flow in each runner based on firing order and see what clashes. Then change it round to optimize it. That's alot of work though for power you more than likely won't notice. The guys in F1 would be doing this, so I guess you can be excused this time

Found the dyno sheet from the old engine, a lite 125 kw and 912Nm of tractive effort!
Boost drop seemed to be holding it back from a better figure.

    Old Setup:
    Biport head and rwd manifold
Small port AE92 4AGZE bottom end
    Td04 turbo

Pretty sure the combo of the head and bottom end resulted in higher compression

    Cheers Kieran
