G'Day all, I'm currently having lots of fun with my replacement struts. I'm replacing the old stuffed ones with some KYB 365015's. After placing the strut into the casing there isn't enough room to put the gland nut on? Did I do something wrong, or do I need a new nut?

    With the gland nut

    Without the gland nut

    Any help would be great.
    Thanks

    had the same problem
    as the previus poster said.

U should use a kyb gland nut. They usually come with the insert when you buy it.
If you bought it 2nd hand, then try to get it from the seller. If that fails. I got a pair from one of the forum sponsors.

another alternative, take your strut to your local suspension shop like pedders, they may have a 2ndhand gland nut that fits. ( might have to try a few shops)

when I got KYB's the nut wouldn't fit, I got a pair of monre ones for $20ish that fit perfectly from my local repco. They list them seperately on their database but the friendly guy who worked there had to take them out of another set of shocks and order in some replacements rather than me waiting for the ordered in sets (maybe persuade them to do this for you )
