Is it true that these are a perfect fit for a t series diff and a w series gbox in an ae86?

Save me a lot of time if true

You can use the front half of a RA40 tailshaft.

I know a TA22 tailshaft is a 1 piece, and fits T series diff and T50/K40 gearbox. I use one of these in my TE37 thing but cut it 50mm shorter.

A RA23 and RA28 and RA40 and RA60 use a 2 piece tailshaft like in a AE86. They all use a T series diff. They also use a W series gearbox. So yes... a RA23 or RA40 tailshaft should work. But I don't know about the length.

Ok so i did this. It did work however the mounting points which are on the front half (ra40 half) of the tailshaft are about 1.5 inches out. Had to weld brackets on to make it work.

    Anyhow

yes it works but dont expect musch from it

loop mounts are munted and dont fit without customising

it is usually to long so if u have alot of suspension travel it will smash the rear bearing

Ian Weatherhead told me when measuring up for my tailshaft to put the yoke all the way in, then pull it back out 20-25mm, with the suspension down, to allow for when the diff travels up the yoke (as said above) if too close to the gearbox it will smash the box, and you dont want to do that to he Wigg Motorsport box now skin head haha
