I had the option to buy an 18-RGU off a mate to drop into a KE a couple of months ago. Ended up deciding i like having a bit more power, have an continued plugging away with my R31 project.
Then got taken for a drive in the SA63 Celica the motor resides in the other day...man those motors have got guts, an that was in a car 300odd kg heavier than a keto...

yeah the older engines are surprisingly powerful noting that 18rg are 2L engines (so that may have been the difference).
I've driven a 4a-ge before and to my surprise my 2t-geu felt alot more powerful. Although it could have been the possibility of the engine not being tune properly. Still 2tg, 18rg, 4a-g are awesome engines, love em
