    hi,

who has changed a timing belt on a 4ac?
i'm contemplating changing mine as i have the water pump out at the moment so thought it might be a good idea to change it?

secondly how much will it cost me for a new timing belt? aftermarket or OEM i don't care.

also was taking the water pump out yesterday... and stupidly dropped the inlet piece that goes into the head,
and snapped off one of the nozzles that comes of this piece. looks like a temp sensor or something of the like.

    so i need a replacement.
does anyone have one or know how much it will cost to get one?

the temp sensor that got broken controls vacuum for the emissions gear based on the temperature. If your not running emissions gear it doesnt matter if one of the little nozzle breaks off.

    sweet,
    really appreciate the tips.
as for running emmissions stuff, i'll have to as it needs to be sent over the pits to get rego'd!
will head past the toyota workshop tomorrow arvo on the way to work, see how much they want for a chrissy tree.
do you think i could rip a tree of a ae82? if so might pop down to the wreckers
    and rip one off.
