sooo trying to remove my sump or some looksie...
got to the last allen key bolt at the back of the alloy sump pan, and the ball joint on my allen key has snapped off.
yes the ball is still in the bolt head......
whats the best way to go about getting this out?
was getting rewady to try and drill out, but i dont have nay drill bits long enough....

yeh, is it a very tight fit? cause u might b able to jiggle it out other wise drilling is looking to b the best option.
yeah they are a tite fit.... drilling is looking like the only way

See if you can get a reverse/left handed drill bit for undoing snapped studs.
The bit catches into the metal and unscrews the bolt.

dont think i managed to actually get the bolt to loosen, just snapped the ball off the end. revers thread may work, but only if i loosen the bolt any...

yeah either drill or get some vice grips round the actual bolt undo it and just buy another one...
pop the allen key out and try again...
rare earth magnet may do the trick, it will certainly have enough force if your allen keys are magnetic.
Try tapping the broken tip with a hammer and screwdriver to loosen it in the bolt.. remove with a magnet and try again.. if not unfortunately its drills
pop the allen key??? if it was tight enough in the block to snap the ball end off a good quality allen key, maybe its jammed....
hmmm note to self, cant drill at night...
