Kouki Parkers...Wiring???

hi,

so, im in the middle of upgrading to kouki lights and parkers in my sprinter, but i have come accross a problem.

the plug on the kouki parkers is different to the adm parkers.

so the question is, What have people done to get around this problem? the kouki parker is a 5 wire 4 pin plug, and the adm is 4 wire 3 pin plug

On kouki parkers, the park light globe is a 2 stage globe (two fillaments like tail lamp globe). Basically when you turn a corner (indicators on), its designed to use the brighter fillament (hence the extra wire). Obviously adm don't have this, so find the wire you dont need and possibly wire up the adm plug to the kouki harness.

so can i run the two power wires from the kouki parker bulb into one pin?

Just run the wire used to power the brighter fillament.

is that the red or the green wire though?

No idea, don't have a loom infront of me. There should be 3 wires going to the park light bulb holder. 1 will be an eath, and should join to the same pin as one coming from the blinker. Use a car battery and connect the earth to negative, and then one at a connect the two park light wires to the positive to see which is the wire for the brighter fillament.

I wired mine so that when parkers are on its dim, and when headlights are on, it becomes brighter.

I think the purpose of it is when its on a kouki harness its one of those turning things, when you turn, the side you are turning becomes brighter..

just like the kouki truenos and their wrap around bumper indicators, amber is indicator and white light is for extra ninja eyes in the night =]
