Yeah I do somewhere. Ill dig it up.
Found!
love it, what type of track work are you planning?? any hillclimb etc?
Just entry level stuff.
Hillclimbs, motorkhanas, and sprints. Its not a competitive platform the way the cams rules work.
what made you run no rear swaybar? what are the advatnages? is it so the bum can move a little when cornering and doesnt hold/loose traction?
but it pisses me off when people assume your hooning cos your car is loud, has bald tires, a roll cage, fresh bake and dinted bumpers!!
Or driving in a wolf pack.
Take your rear swaybar out completely and go try to drift it. Youll know what I mean. It makes it really grippy. I guess it helps stop the body from taking the diff with it as it moves around, and therefore the rear just feels planted and solid on the road, although he car does have a little extra motion to get used to. It gets a touch more boatish with the swaybar gone but its definately faster.
Wouldn't that put a lot of stress on everything else in the rear? Trailing arms n shit?
ahh yes, thought this was the case, as there is a fine line between traction and no traction. you obviously know what your doing and how to do it, seems like a good build,
you aiming for a little more power? mid 80kw is quite a modest read for a 20v am i wrong ?

Dyno figures mean nothing. Its easily beaten a Smallport 7age before.
Its got a terrific tune done by Rob Novak. Its got torque, and is so much more drivable than my old tune. The motor is lasting too.
Its not some dyno 'shootout' figure where the values are cooked to make me feel special. What I'm trying to say is there's no way you can judge the tune unless you are able to drive the car. My Blacktop put out around 90kw on a similar dyno, same brand and model at a different shop, but this silvertop motor is way more driveable at 85kw.
To Sherlock. Until the early 80s most every 4 link live axle Toyota vehicle made didnt have a swaybar from the factory. Think RA40 series one, T18 Series one etc...
Its just a choice you can make. Im not treading any new ground.
