i still dont understand SHY and why people have it in number plates... can anybody shed some light on its meaning ?? also SK8N... sk8n-R33 etc... what does skating mean ??

Those guys always had wierd plates like T 1018 meant something to them. All I know is 8 is lucky number in Chinese. Iblis meant devil/demon and Dewa meant angel in something. use your imagination - skating as in sliding I'd hazzard a guess at

i can only assume, SHY was meant to resemble some what of a SHY car, as in it doesnt come out often, SK8N maybe to refer to ice skating being slippry,

IMO number plates that say something arent that cool, maybe from a business promotional point of view is justifiable,

But plates like

I8A4RE
etc
etc
etc, all suck

Also plates that state the obvious EG
VTS2SS
S2000
GTVAE86 *
also having a commodore sticker emblazoned on the windscreen of your commodore is not nessisary

When i see numberplates like 'GABBY' or 'STEVO' for instance i yell out 'yo steve what up!' The look on their face is priceless.

i can confirm firsthand that 天使 (tian shi.... litteraly "sky messenger") is angel in mandarin, and in cantonese its not dewa either (i dont speak canto at all lol)... so those plates must be owned by malay or indo guys or something.


as far as all the NV or JET type plates..... fucking lame lol.... ANY plate that states how "good" your car is, or how your "wealthy" or an "excon" is not cool....

nothing has to be proved by a fucking gay plate.
