lol that 13B car has a feature in SPEED way back
Yeah I remember when you and Derek came up to mine to pick up that wing in the AE82 Seca must have been 2001 when he built it?
Think that shot of D's car was at autosalon or something after he sold it because it had the REVS and Emtech stickers.

That red Trueno started life as an AE85 if I remember right?
I had some mad old school photos but I've lost them over the years.
The light blue 86 that Simon owned for a while with the quad throttle 16V was a highlight of the old days, sounded sick. I think a guy named Julian owned it before him?
old JMS chris's shell pink 86 turning up on a cruise back when it was 4AG with a dent in the rear fender saying it was from drifting down eagles... people are like "drift, wtf is that?"
I met Julian when he had the Silver one with quads - That thing definitely sounded so bad ass
I think I might have some old pics of Chris and Simon's old 86's somewhere too...
Thats not the red trueno the one that Slippry had tho?

This car was originally built by a good friend of mine, his name was Steve Anschultz, he's an older guy. He only sold it cos he moved to Darwin.
It was quite modified.
When Steve built it it was;
Bigport 16v
ae101 quads(adaptor plates made by K&A engineering, cost a fortune)
4-1 headers
Autronic SMC
300deg cams
vernier sprockets
Tokico short strokes
coil overs
JDM brakes
all it needed was paint and it would of been a very nice car.
We dynoed that engine on the engine dyno, cams were too big and comp ratio was too low, it still put out 186bhp and 127ftlb, I have the dyno sheet somewhere.
He sold it to some lad who really didn't appreciate it, then it was sold to Simon.
Yeah thats the one! I have pics of Steve's motor... watch this space!
Thinking back I really should have bought this when I had the chance it was never the same after Steve sold it.

Yep thats the car alright. Certainly sounded cammy, would of benefited from a closer ratio diff though, it seemed to rev forever! Back in the day there was that car, mine and another light blue 86 kicking around the Nth East and they would always get mixed up.
The red Trueno I think skein bought and did the bumpers gloss black, then chucked some longchamps on and then an origin kit, but that was a few years later. Before that it had generic 5spokes.. had a 4AGZE?
This was it around '04
oh yeah also spot Crab's yellow 86, Minihorses whip and Joels black and silver ride.
That is such a fresh photo!
Has all the original s.a 86's
RT142 Estate.
AJPS.
Hey Karl those shots were taken when Steve and I worked together.
Skaney it really did need a close ratio set of gears in the box, when we had it on the dyno, we spent heaps of time trying to get it half decent, problem was three fold;
1. cams too big
2. comp ratio too low
3. cast pistons used and Steve didn't wanted it revved over about 8200rpm
This engine didn't really do much below 6700rpm and then 8200rpm limit
so when you changed gears it fell off cam, by this stage he had spent heaps of cash and said "gears....no way!"
The flywheel is a 212mm exedy
