Can anyone confirm how much positive offset you can run on a 15x8 rim before it hits the strut?
If buying a set of 15"s x 8, what is the preferred offset with lightly rolled guards?
Thanx
What car are they going on? I have 15x8 0 offset and I only have 3-4mm from the strut to the tyre. I'm running bigger diameter strut bodies though.
Standard ae86 strut, Ajps rx7 brake conversion. Will prob do a coilover conversion in the future, but that shouldn't change the clearance much.
I was think of 15x8+5, from my measurements a +15 would be too close!
15x8 +/-0 sits perfectly flush with rolled guards
What about 9x15 with 0 offset?
Will sit the same position as a 15x8.5 -6
RT142 Estate.
AJPS.
so, this is a super-old thread, but I figure I'd post anyways, since so many of the photos were for looks, with stretch, and not for performance. And, I'm finally getting time to work on my car again, and cruising the interwebs.
14x7 +8 (celica/supra wheels)
225/50-14 Hoosier A4 (actual measurement 220+)
at the time, I think the standard 4/6kg/mm, -2.x° camber.
I do not remember if there were or were not 5mm spacers on the front.
Different Tires: Hankook C50 tread Z211, same size 225/50-14.
Wheels were Konig Rewinds, 14x7 -9.
