update:

I ended up having heaps of problems with the gearbox but finally sorted it with the 3rd replacement gearbox which i rebuilt. I had the LJ out on a suzuki club thing a month ago, here's a few pic's and a vid














next on the to do list:
-paint doors
-get full soft top made
