ie, is it engineered (VASS) ?
emissions test?
Hey Guys,
Just out of curiosity...is anyone running a turbo charged 4AGE motor. I kinda been wanting to see how much effort goes into it, the power output and see just see the whole setup in general.
Let me know if you got so we can have a chat =P
Nam

yes my buddy Eddie does and should have it back on the road soon. He goes by the name of Shelldrake and posts on Toymods. When I drove it VVT was not yet enabled and also I think the turbo was missmatched, it took literally 5 seconds to come fully on boost and then even at 80km/h with his semi slicks on a course road it would just spin. His new combination would work much better however. Setting it up wasn't that hard but I don't suggest using ZE pistons in a 20V engines as things can go bad, really bad.

Haha dan! Yeh I was planning a little steroid boost for my car =p just considering the costs and setup for things
Sam- I did want to ask u a few things bout the turbo direction kinda in regards to the stock internals being able to handle how much boost. Plus some other things
4agze bottom ends can handle 30psi long term

For engineering there are some engineers that will sign of on it without having an emissions test, you need to use a gze and have a turbo with similar or less flow rate as the SC. The thing is once its engineered for the turbo you can then go and up grade it as the certificate doesn't specify what turbo is on the car your fairly safe form the popo and the lil yellow stickers.
thats pretty interesting to hear =) but right now im running a 7AGE 20v which i was thinking about boosting. One thing i was thinking about, without having to cut up my car, was to run a more narrow radiator to allow for cooler pipes to fit through the radiator/chasis hole. I was trying to look up an front mount coolers that have the pipes go directly into from the back rather than from the sides...only reason would be that it would save some space of the pipes having to bend. Ive been told ARC have them but also that they went bankrupt. Any one got any ideas on going around doing the cooler without cutting and holes in the chasis?
legally your allowed to put holes in your radiator support pannel if you rebrace them, ask an engineer about it
