Your space looks much organized than mine... lolz.. anyways good work
Haven't seen a thread for work benches or areas.
I've only got limited room in the garage at my place, but have about a million tools and car parts.
Started making a work bench this afternoon, I know it's not much but it's ok for a couple of hours. Looking forward to finally having something at home. Still a few more piece to go in before I put ply on it (Bench vice and a steel plate to smack the crap out of things on, maybe a single draw for small stuff)
I'll show you mine, you show me yours.
Start of my bench

Just a suggestion for anybody playing at home without a welder. Check out graysonline.com under the engineering section, there always seems to be some engineering company going bust. We got a pair of Tafe welding tables for $13! And I'm talking with provisions for clamps, and 40mm steel benches!
Also for anybody else organising their workshops, there's some cool storage containers I've been buying from bunnings for organising bolts, washers elec terminals, grommets etc anything really. The brand is called Tactix and they are orange and black in colour, individually removable inserts they only cost about $12 each. I've got nearly ten of them now and seem to be able to find correct size bolts when I need them now
Not having a go at you Dish, but id suggest you would need a workbench that has more mass to it for you to mount a vice and smack the cr4p outa things on it.
unless you are putting some cross bracing in it and mounting it to a wall?
Id suggest some beefcake wooden planks on top of the steel, and then line the planks with a sheet of ply etc if you want a flat surface and to join it all together.
Jim621 would be correct, i made my home bench from 50x50 box in 2.2 and sides were 75x30 in 2.2, in addition i added my vice brace/extension in 40x40 in 2.8mm wall (OTT i know but i can hang off it with as much leverage as i want and it might twist a bit)
This was my home workshop when i had my old place, was so happy with it, the drop saw stand was my first project haha
my bench I knocked up off some steel from work weighs a ton but seriously solid
Nice one.
Yeah it turned out pretty well just a bit of a bitch to move around
