On a 6" rim?
from a cosmetic point of view this tire size interests me.
but i guess its really "designed" for a slightly lighter vehicle.
has anyone run them and can comment?
i can say for sure i prefer 195 50 15 over a 185 60 14 for steering feel etc.
discusion?

On a 6" rim?

it would be on an 8. brand ? federal 595 is what i was thinking of. youre right though, that might be the limiting factor.

I ran a ku31 on the front of my s13 for one event. 195 45 15.
Have since gone to a 50.
Nick, mind explaining why you went to the 50?
its wack on a corolla because its smaller than std rolling diameter

It gave me a better tyre guard gap mostly.
comparison below, 185 60 14/195 45 15
Original tire
Sidewall: 4.37 in
Radius: 11.37 in
Diameter: 22.74 in
Circumf: 71.44 in
Revs/mile: 886.89
New Tire
Sidewall: 3.45 in
Radius: 10.95 in
Diameter: 21.91 in
Circumf: 68.83 in
Revs/mile: 920.52
Speedometer reading with new tire is 3.65% too fast.
195 50 15 -
New Tire
Sidewall: 3.84 in
Radius: 11.34 in
Diameter: 22.68 in
Circumf: 71.24 in
Revs/mile: 889.36
185 55 14 -
New Tire
Sidewall: 4.01 in
Radius: 11.01 in
Diameter: 22.01 in
Circumf: 69.15 in
Revs/mile: 916.24
so 195 45 15 almost the same as 185 55 14. which is a super common size used on a hachi in japan, the only thing holding it back here is availability.
also, with the 195 45 i dot need any wider than a 15x8. if i run that size rim i can also fit a larger RCA (than using a 14). using a 15x8 (as opposed to something wider) makes live easier for a lot of reason. typical offsets are also better, i really dont like the idea of any more than single digit negative offset on the front.

195/45 will be fine man, espically on a 86. 50 profile is atad to big for a sprinter.
ku31's are not bad for steerers, run 195/55 on the supra for a year but i wouldnt run them for longer than say 6 months, ran my pair for a year and even tho there was heaps of tread they just had no grip.
i'd prob go the 595's if you can afford it. running 595 evo's atm and altho not as good, def compariable to Re11's... Re11's are epic tho!
