    Default Place for LSD/Diff builds

Putting a 4.10 LSD into the E30 this week, or coming weekend hopefully, just need to have it built first.

Need to have my LSD swapped over from a 3.46 housing and put into a late model 4.10 housing. Early-late have different speedo sensors, hence why swapping the LSD into the 4.10, rather than swapping C&P.

I can put the diff into the car myself, just don't want to mess something up with assembly as I know nothing about setting pre-load and backlash, or what I'm getting myself into by cracking open the diff housing. So, anyone know a decent place to have this work done that isn't going to charge me a small fortune?

Thinking it shouldn't be much more than $250-$300?

Boss Automotive, lonsdale. works in cash, quality work, is busy but he is well priced. If you bring diff to him and pickup will do it in a few days (In my experience). If you want him to pull it ou, and put it back in - then in advance.

Also he will do what you want - if you just want ring and pinion change - he'll do and replace the bear minimum (any leaking seals etc)

Not like a lot of places who wont open one up unless they are doing a full rebuild.

could not agree more. The few city places i rang were really only interested in their own outcome, not that of the customer "Ohhh Ohhh we can't do that, we will need to rebuild the whole thing for $2k"

Diff trans setup a brand new pinion/crownwheel for me, which proceeded to chew itself out the first time I ran it, and when I brought it back in to ask what they had done, tried to tell me I ran it dry... cheers dickhead.
