You're spot on Slydar OEM parts are over-engineered (Safety Factor like 5) Race components are tailored to a specific application and optimized (S.F. maybe less than 2 or 1 for non-critical components) But we're not shaving every gram for 1/1000 sec advantage, so there's no reason why these hubs would not be sturdy enough to use on road or last on car for X kms (with +track -mass) provided material selection and the hub itself is engineered with some forethought. I have confidence in these blokes.
