My name is Jimmy and I'm from Auckland.

Have a KE35 that is currently in progress of converting to a 4AGE.

Boss! how far along are you man?

I've got ae85s live in hamilton but ones up in Auckland at my parents place (storage yes!)

Building a 4agte for the one up home and just about to respray the other down here.


Wonder if there are many NZ people that come on here?

Im not that far into it man, literally just picked up and dropped the engine in last week to see how it would sit, and it looks good so far!

In the next month I will have the entire driveline installed, as well as new suspension all round.

I a, however, looking for someone who can make me some custom headers and a full car re-wire!

Do you happen to know of anyone man?

Awesome on the AE85's bro! Sounds like you've got a few! Where is a cheap place to pick up a new AE86/85 waterpump?

Where in Hamilton are you? I sometimes drive down to Te Kuiti to visit the olds now and then! haha

I've had my ae85 notch levin for ~10 years now, been off the road for 4...
Bought it off my mother in law of all people.
Small port is in the build, everything is long term due to family, work, study, life in general.
A procrastinators work is never done...

Jimmy, you KE looks pretty boss. My flat mates got one too with a 20v 4age in it. Full cage yada yada. The only place I know that will do a guaranteed good job is Tama Autos in west Auckland. Reo is the guru of old school Toyota man, might pay to get a hold of him. Just search Tama Autos on google and it will give you a contact number.

He is use to wiring up 4ages so will be able to get it done fast and it wont fail.

Were you trying to sell the lift back at one stage?



last 2 shots are trying my brothers old 14x8 steels on. from memory the tyres were 185/45R14 or something ridiculously small.
sitting higher than normal due to no weight - whole drivetrain/fuel tank out, ready to swap in the small port & efi tank once i have rebuilt it all.

Have two AE's also. one 5 year project of doom, and my other, daily AE with 7AGE
