I noticed this thread hadn't been updated for a while so I had a bit of a look through some of the many many photos I took during my 6 years in Japan. These are mostly of 86s but there are a few random shots of other things in there as well.
I'll start with my 2nd 86 'Little Crappy 2'.
And once Shane got his hands on it...
YZ Circuit. This was my local and my favourite circuit to watch drifting at. Crashes were the norm and I'd lost count of the number of cars written off from the 1st corner wall.
There isn't much room between the edge of the track to the wall.
So this would often happen...
A super clean 86 at YZ one day. It makes mine look Ipswich Style.
A sad sight. I saw this at my friend's wrecking yard. Can you believe he pulled it out of the bush, abandoned years before?!? Even worse was the car just recycled.
This thing was awesome! Nearly everything on the car was fibreglass. It weighed stuff all. The engine was built by Hibino's mechanic and was angry! The owner took me for a touge run in it and all I can remember is being sideways in 3rd gear at 9,000rpm and seeing the world outside as a blur.
Ebisu Matsuri. It really is heaven. I just love the artwork on this straight.
Anyone who has been to JDM Garage recently would have seen the remains of this car sitting outside.
At the workshop the night before we headed to Ebisu.
The ride up there was looooooong in my little van.
Drift chicks rock!
