Welcome to the forum Paddy.
Well hello there Maurice is the name another member of the Irish brigade we are slowly taking over here Must say this is a super site with loads of good info and a bit of fun aswell.
Anyways the reason i'm here, i'm building an ae86 with a 3sge. You ozzy guys seem to love them but it really isn't a popular conversion over here yet anyways but i'm hoping to change that
Full build at
Here is how it started, late spec 87 trueno coupe, pretty standard and well battle scarred from lots of streeto abuse
Spec
Red, origin kit, trd wing, carbon bonnet,
Standard 4age
5ziegen manifold and exhaust
Hks air filter
Front coilovers 8kg springs camber plates cusco strut brace
Rear trd greens and some springs
uras inner rack ends
Trd quick shifter
Cusco 2 way diff 4.3 ratio
Cusco cage
bride seat
dished wheel.
Probably more.
Here it is in a clean state
And here before it got stripped
Went back to bare shell fixed any rust there wasn't much and fully seam welded it then sealed it and painted it black.
Engine bay was fully welded and shaved and smoothened,
Arches were massively worked to cover 15x10's on the back and 14x8's on the front.
I got an engine and box to mock up mounts and my tunnel before i got my actual engine.
Paint was next tvr purple paradise for the engine bay and bmw m3 grey for the body with standard 3/4 bumpers and skirts
Thats where I am at the moment
Engine is in and wiring being done. Going running blacktop throttle bodies and an ontronic ecu.
front bilsteins with 8kg springs being used and i'm making my own lca's and castor arms.
Rear axle is fully rebuilt with new 4.3 adjustable back arms and gaz coilovers with standard rebuilt brakes
Honda front brakes with 282mm discs
I will update it as i have any more as things will be coming together pretty quickly from here.
Also photobucket is being gay at the moment so when thats sorted i'll update with pics
