hey nice job,
on my ae86 I wind the tacho off the dial, now that's not so easy to fix!
Hi People thought I would share this,
So I remember a while back I think it was on the Rollaclub forums a thread about making your own custom dash. I thought since I'm putting a 4AGE into my KE70 and that the 4AGE hits redline later I'd change my dash. So one day I decided to make my own so I pulled apart a tacho dash and scanned it directly to photoshop then started having a play around with the dash.
Since I have a TE71 now with an awesome black dash in it I'd thought I'd upload my work so people could take a look. I was going to get that seller on ebay that does custom dials to print them out for me.
I changed the text of the dash to something a bit more modern but still kinda oldschool, shifted the orange line to start at 7k instead of 6k and created a redline at 7.5k, added TRD symbols, Red E for empty fuel, red line in hot instead of the original orange and got the idea off my BF XR8 of putting Red lines every 10km's after the highest legal speed 110km/h. If you look too I put a small white arrow pointing right near the fuel pump picture so people that don't know the car know what side of the car the fuel filler is.
Anyways here is a pic of my work. If anyone wants I can email them the high res version of this, high res version of the originals and all the individual dials so you can photoshop them yourself.

without the trd bits??
Lol certainly would be hard as there's no room to extend the tacho
Like I said can email you high res copies and you can change it on your own. But can remove them for you if you like
Awesome! You could get these printed on clear vinyl and just lay them over the originals.
I thought that too but then you'd see the old dash through the lettering since the white parts would remain clear. The best bet would be to get a clear vinyl printed then cut some thin white or clear perspex say .6mm to the shape of the original dash pieces and then stick the vinyl to that.
To save the hassle I was just gonna send the image to these guys and get them to make them properly. They're $80 for a normal white set so wouldn't expect more than $50 extra to have something done custom. The image I have in its full resolution is an exact scan off the originals so will be exact when printed to gauges. These guys do KE70/AE71 dashs aswell so would be able to do it easy!
I'd love to get a copy of the hires files if anyone has them still?
