i got mine fr 16v out of a camry, just behind head unit on tunnel
Am in the process of shoehorning a 4age 20v BT into a Suzuki 4wd.
Am making up the loom, ecu conncections etc basically from scratch.
Need to find a Circuit Opening Relay.
If I head down to the local U Pull it wreckers, what kind of vehicle would likely be a candidate to scrounge one from?
Do all Corolla's have them?
Where is it likely to be located on the car?
Cheers,
Paul

Pretty much any EFI 80s-mid 90s Toyota will have one. Probably all sorts of other makes too, but I just don't know about them.
They look similar to a normal relay, but just have 5 wires hanging off them.
If you get stuck finding a relay, you can always use 2 relays. I've done this on a car as toyota wanted something stupid like $150 for the relay.
Computer side
Where the fc pin on the ecu provides the earth and triggers the relay I used the high amp output of the EFI relay from the fuse box to provide both the trigger and high amp input.
Starter side
Where the starter wire triggers the relay i used the output of the efi relay in the fuse box for high amp input, and it was earthed to the dash metal brackets directly.
Output of both relays where joined together to run the fuel pump.
Later model toyota cars ae101 / 102 etc. have the FOC relays too, they just have different connectors on them and are much smaller and from memory are green in colour and are located on the centre console support near the ash tray
Thanks folk. Apreciate the info.
I will head into the local U Pull it next weekend to see what I can find.
I will take a look behind the stereo and under the center console in whatever later model toyotas they have and see what I come up with.
Cheers.
Not sure if you have one but I have a spare here
This may help
and this
