Polishing came up a treat.
Also faced the oil extender flanges.
Going to the workshop to do some more odd jobs on it today.
I will finally fit the diff baffles and polish inside the manifold.
Then the only things left on the mechanical package are the wiring and tune, tailshaft, and cutting away the new block for the starter motor clearance and tapping one hole for the BH union like the dummy motor. Oh and I need to make a vaccum manifold thats designed to spread the idle control air evenly between each cylinder. I have a design in mind but I need to fabricate it. Just basically a funnel shaped unit with the 4 nipples at the broad end and the idle controller feeding them at equal spacing from the narrow end, if you can picture it. Just deciding whether PVC will be high temp enough. Probably not, I want to bolt it to the inlet side under the manifold.
Then its all just bodywork. One small tweak of the tunnel, fit the coilovers, n diff. Flare to suit some wheels. Then paint it and I can just build it like a man possessed.
I might also invest in some tension control rods and steering knuckles from TTT at some stage.

where did you get that faced/cost?
I need to do the same to my top rad outlet, atm it has a homemade thick rubber gasket to stop it leaking, but I don't think it will suffice for very long..

Did it myself on my disc sander wheel.
Just bring it over. Or is it on your car?

Yeah its a 12 inch disc so that should be plenty large to flatten a thermo housing.
its steel though not alloy, is it capable of tackling that?

Yep.
The pipe above is mild steel.
sweet, was thinking it looked like steel... you gonna be about on sat arvo?
